  1. Registered to take the exam in October with Proteomics. ASQ has retained a third party to administer the exam.

    • Hi Kevin,

Good for you. You have plenty of time brush up on the broad range of the CRE body of knowledge. Please be aware that I’m moving the https://creprep.wordpress.com/ site to accendoreliability.com/creprep/ . If all goes well there will be redirects so you won’t miss a thing.

Also, for your information, I’m offering a CRE preparation course that is online, and on demand, focus on the areas of most interest to you, ask questions (I try to answer within 24 hrs when every possible often within the hour) and there are plenty of practice exam questions.

You can find the course details at http://accendoreliability.com/cre-preparation/

Also be sure to join the Linkedin Group CRE Preparation and get more suport.

      Cheers,

      Fred

      • Fred,

I am very interested in taking the course and hoping you are able to have the replays compatible with iOS so I can replay via Bluetooth on my commutes. It will be a challenge to attend the live courses with two toddlers demanding and competing for attention.

        Kevin

  2. Hi Kevin, glad to hear you are interested in the course. The online, on-demand course included downloads so even without wifi or net connection you can enjoy the lectures and materials. It does take space, yet may be an option.

One student listened to the audio of the lectures and viewed the slides as needed.

I understand the demands and unpredictable demands of small children. Got my masters and CQE certification when my two kids at the time were 2 and 4… my wife was/is a saint. I’ll record and make available the Q&A sessions, so you won’t miss anything.

Of course, you can ask questions anytime via email, give me a call, or in the private course forum, or the public Linkedin discussion group (CRE Preparation). We’ll get you answers and the discussions you need to master the CRE body of knowledge.

    Cheers,

    Fred

    • Fred,

One more question, do I register through your website or the Silicon Valley ASQ section? I received the CRE Primer and Solutions manual I purchased from QC Indiana today.

      Kevin

      • Hi Kevin, Depends on which course you would like to take. The one via the ASQ Silicon Valley site is 16 two-hour live sessions via Adobe Connect – lecture and discussions. Mondays and Thursdays 3-5pm pacific time. the lectures are recorded and available for replay shortly after the live session ends.

The one on the Accendo Reliability site is on-demand. It includes lectures (most of the 170 lessons have a 15 minute or so recorded lecture, annotations on the slides as I talk through a topic, quick quiz questions with many lessons, plus section quizzes, plus handouts, additional reading. I’m working on more features based on student requests such as the uploaded draft terms glossary. Plus the course includes a discussion forum and support for any questions you may have, and I’m including this summer 4 live Q&A sessions, too.

Until I get the reference books published for the courses, I do recommend using the QCI Primers for both courses.

      • Thanks for the clarification. I’ll register for the Accendo Reliability tomorrow.

        Kevin
